Have you given up? May 03, 2011 |

Hello again --
"It’s rough starting out and we knew it would be, just not how rough." These words were sent to me by one of my clients last week. For a brief moment I started wondering what I had done wrong with them. Did I not relay the information correctly or gave false hope of an immediate end to their financial woes? Phew. During our coaching session a couple of days later, it was not anything I had or had not done. It was their realization that there is no easy fix and the "rough" part was mustering up the self discipline required. As a matter of fact they jokingly said they were afraid that I would drop them! Never. I do not give up on those that have invested their time and effort with me. I am there until the battle is won! Forget what the infomericals, quick loan companies, or some MLM person trying to get you to be a part of their downline says, financial freedom does take a bit of effort .... to do it right ... to make it last .... a lifetime. How much effort? As I explain to anyone that will listen, it takes 3 months to understand the budgeting system, 6 months to really get it down, and a year to fully create your own personalized spending plan (realistic budget). Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. So I applaud my clients for their fortitude to not give up, for seeing that financial freedom is attainable and not as far away as they thought. Within a decade, their 28 year left mortgage will be paid off, saving literally thousands of dollars and even more in stress and worry. Their children (and future families) will never themselves be strangled with debt and worry as the same freeing system will be modeled for them. I am grateful to have been a small part of that. The rough part of becoming financially free is short compared to a lifetime of stress. What about you? Are ready for some financial coaching? If not, what are you doing now to save money, get out of debt, and live financially free that will be a noticeable difference a year from now? Here are two ways that can help if you take action:
